Skull and Brain Model W-SB

The W-SB is a budget brain and skull model that allows students to examine both the brain and the position of the brain within the cranium.  The brain in this model is a "mini" version of the C20-c model shown below and it measures approximately 2.5" x 2.5" x 2.5".  Overall skull and brain dimensions are 4.5" x 4.5" x 3.0".  The brain also has similar coloring as the C20, with neocortex being pink/beige, cerebellum green, brainstem pink.  Surface arteries are not shown in this model. The brain is sectioned into 8 parts, and sections are held in place with brass pins.  This model is a great resource for any student.  The model does not include data sheet for brain regions, but the raised relief of various brain structures can be identified easily by the use of an introductory text.

    Human Brain Model CH-1

The human brain model CH-1 is an inexpensive 3-part brain model that complements general neuroanatomical studies. The human brain model CH-1 is made of solid acrylic, and it comes with a sturdy plastic base for storage.  Overall, a great starter brain model for those who need hands-on study of regional brain anatomy.  Painted regions include the thalamus, cerebellum, and cranial nerve stalks.  Additional painting and can be done with colors of your choice.   The model does not include data sheet for brain regions, but the raised relief of various brain structures can be identified easily by the use of an introductory text.  The three parts shown on the left photo friction fit with brass pins to assemble the whole brain shown at right.  No other assembly required. This model is intended for neuroanatomical self-study.  For presentations or teaching purposes we recommend the C-20-c model below or other lecture-grade models.

Human Brain Model C20-c

The Human Brain Model C20-c is similar in construction to the budget brains above, but it is an 8 part hand-painted model.  C20-c also has surface relief and the following painted structures:  cortical white matter,  arteries,  and veins (basal ganglia).  The thalamus, hippocampus, cerebellum, portions of the caudate/putamen and cranial nerves are painted. The brain also has a semi-natural tissue coloration. The diencephalon, midbrain and medulla detach as the brainstem complex.  The caudate/putamen and insula also are visible.  The model includes a data sheet for brain regions, and the raised relief of various brain structures can be identified easily by the use of an introductory text.  The C20-c is similar to the lecture-grade models below without labels.  Larger images of the C20-c model are available at the C20-c Product Page
