Principles of Psychobiology is software package designed to reinforce critical concepts in psychobiology, neuroscience, or neurobiology. The software is a stand-alone product that can be used with or without an introductory textbook. If used with a introductory textbook, the Principles programs effectively replace printed study guides and CD-ROM resource disks.

Principles of Psychobiology incorporates a wide range of innovative tools that take the place of conventional textbook study guides. The software allows students to focus on critical material using a variety of multimedia presentations. Extensive interactive animations are used to teach conceptually-difficult material such as ion flow, membrane potentials, neurotransmitter release and degradation, gross neuroanatomy, and sensory transduction and receptor systems. The student explores modules that progress from membrane potentials to sensory transduction and receptor systems. Students interact with programs by performing manipulations to discover critical concepts.
